Description | Zinc pyrithione (or pyrithione zinc) is a coordination complex of zinc . It has fungistatic (that is, it inhibits the division of fungal cells) and bacteriostatic (inhibits bacterial cell division) properties and is used in the treatment of seborrhoeic dermatitis . |
